I rolled my eyes and walked faster. My arms grew heavy under all the blankets and furs I was carrying but thankfully my new nest was close. I stopped by the mountain of soft pillows and started working on fixing a comfortable bed. My Heat was near and as a result I was always feverish, irritated and had the compulsive drive to tidy my nest over and over.
Wolf didn’t say much around me these days. He was in a strange mood since my almost-but not quite- kidnapping. The only good thing that had come out of that day was that now Wolf would take me with him everywhere. He never left me alone in the camp and I was rarely away from him.
