One year earlier

My name is Ashley Lincoln I’m 25 years old. I married to my high school sweetheart Ben Lincoln who is loving and caring husband any girl would die for. I owned the biggest company and I live in my dream mansion. And here is my story….

Today it’s the biggest day for me, I’m getting married to my high school sweetheart. I know it gonna be the long day for me, but it will also be the day that I will never forget. Okay let me take you back a little…

It was my first day at work and I was super excited as any person would be. I came from work around five o’clock in the afternoon. And I was tired a little but I was longing to tell my best friend, who is my boyfriend and my family about my first day at work. So when I got home, everyone was ready for me and they prepared dinner for all of us, and my husband to be was there too. And I couldn’t help myself but to smile because I was so happy that everything in my life was coming together. And I sat down and before I say anything, I saw this guy kneeling down in front of me with a little box that has a ring on it , I couldn’t believe my eyes, and I was in tears. And he asked me to marry him and before he finished his question I said yes!.

Oh it my mom the woman who has made me this woman I am today and the reason I will be putting this wedding gown and making vows to this love of my life.

“Oh my baby I can’t believe this is really happening”. She hold my hands. “my one and only child is getting married”.

“Yes mama, I also can’t believe it”. With tears on my eyes. “but it’s happening and thanks to you. For making me this woman I am today”.

“Oh please don’t mention it”. She wipe my tears. “I’m your mother and it my job to raise you to be the good woman”.

“Okay enough with a tears now. You need to finish dressing up so that you will be ready in time”.

My mom has left now ,so I have to finish dressing up, so that my bridesmaids will find me ready for them. I can’t wait to see my Prince Charming, I know I’m going to cry but it not like I’m sad about all of this, it will be the tears of joy, because I’m super excited to be quiet honest….

There is a knock on the door and it my bridesmaids.

I put the veil on my face and now we heading to the car. And everybody is singing. And they are all sing this wedding song, and I can’t even sing it. oh my gosh, my heart is racing fast as it would be since It the big day for me and I know that all eyes are on me today. and I’m praying that god could make this event to be a success.

Two hours later…..

Oh god we have arrived, I know I was busy day dreaming I didn’t even notice that we are here now. As I am stepping out of the car, my uncle came to me and hold my hand.

I know you all wondering why I let my uncle hold my hand instead of my dad. Okay take you back in five years ago…

Five years ago, I lost my dad, due to sickness which didn’t last for long. Okay it was four o’clock in the morning when my dad got sick, he had a very terrible headache and my mom had to take him to the hospital as soon as possible, but unfortunately it was too later, my dead took his last breath on my mom’s arms on their way to hospital. I was so sad and angry at the world and god too because my dad was my super hero, I loved him so much and it because he never raised or laid his hand on my mother. And I miss him so much.

“Everyone stand up”. The pastor said.

As I am walking down the aisle , people are looking at me and I raise my head up and I saw my handsome husband to be, looking all cute and he is crying.

I have to do the dance now with my love and I’m happy that everything went well and I hope this journey we are about to embark together we forever be together until death do us apart. And I am so happy because everyone look happy and even my husband looks super happy and I can’t wait to go to our honeymoon, and we planned to go to Paris, since I have always wanted to go there. And I’m also great full of everything god has done for me and I hope it will be well because I believe that our love has been blessed by the lord and the elders.
