Chapter 7

Phoenix wasn't mistaken. The house was a mess on the inside, and that's putting it mildly. On the outside, it looked fantastic, lovely, and a touch neglected. There were no walls. There were exposed electricals and signs that some animals had used it as a sleeping area. Rebecca was dressed in a black blouse and a worn-out pair of dungarees. She seized hold of her hair and pinned it back. Cobwebs covered everything. The group had aided, and the supplies had already been delivered. She questioned, "Where have you been sleeping?" Phoenix said, "Here. It's not bad, really. No heating is present. no accessible running water Phoenix, I don't say that lightly, this place is a dump. Her nose crinkled. "Do you really think I don't want to know the smell?" "No, I removed the rotten," the speaker said. “Gross. Wow, from the outside you wouldn't realize how horrible this place is, would you?" she questioned. "The electrician will be here tomorrow. The plumber has already made some headway. I believe we'll need to enlist the help of the pack, she remarked. There is no way that this will be livable for a while. She dreaded even bringing this up. I'll ask my parents if you're welcome to move in with us while we fix up this property. You don't need to do that, Rebecca, I said. Since this is bad, I truly do, in fact. All of this is bad. She sighed and regretted not having asked him where he was from. It's very unfortunate, What is it? "Well, this building looks fantastic from the outside. However, the inside is so disorganized that it appears to need some serious cleaning. She snapped her fingers together before turning them out. "I believe cleaning up is the finest thing for us to do. Take away all the leaves and cobwebs, and give us a spotless surface to work with. The stairway was examined. "Is it worse up there than it is down there?" “Yep. Only that most of the walls are still standing. Okay, good. I'll start at the top and work my way down. She had supplies for cleaning with her. She wasn't going to idle away the time. There would be a lot more hands needed for this than just the two of them. She headed upstairs with her duster, bucket, and brush. Nowhere was a carpet to be found. They appeared to have been pulled apart or stolen by whatever creatures had gained access. Although this was a bad idea, she had to start somewhere, so she chose the area with the most chaos—the toilet. She began to clean it, starting with the bathtub in the corner. Since there was no running water, she concentrated on clearing the clutter and cobwebs out rather than washing anything. When Phoenix joined her, she had already been working for five minutes. "I believe working together makes sense." within striking distance. That was bad. She hadn't forgiven him and didn't really accept the justification he had made for rejecting her. She responded, trying to put some distance between them, "We'll go through things a little faster if we split apart. True, but in my opinion, this is preferable because we can then go over each room jointly, just in case. If what, then? He said, "You know, something runs out, or worries you, or anything." We can now declare the bathroom sink to be evil, she remarked. The greatest option, in my opinion, would be to buy a brand-new bathroom. She bowed. "You're right, my a*s must be strong," she said. He laughed. If I had control over your a*s, I wouldn't moan. Rebecca was uncertain of her next move as he winked at her. Was he making out? "We're going to need aid because, you know, we have to deal with all of this. Call John, I can. He will be able to provide trustworthy help. He'll also be able to get rid of it, she added. Then, he advised, "phone him." "I feel like telling him in person would be better," She sought an excuse to depart and create much-needed separation between them. Phoenix grinned as she moved closer to her and then made another step. Not because she was afraid of breaking into his house again, she refused to return. Do I frighten you?" he questioned. No, you don't frighten me, but I want to make sure that everything is done correctly. She spoke the lies with ease. "Aren't you hoping I'll handle this correctly for you?" "I know you do," His hand was placed on her hip. "But keep in mind this. I'm going to miss you while you're gone. He kissed her on the lips. “A lot.” She made her getaway, left his house, and went to the hardware shop. She didn't have to go. With just a phone call, John could have learned what she needed. Her lips puffed up. She had a burning body. She clenched her neck's back and moaned. Rebecca, you need to get your act together. She inhaled deeply before returning to the town and moving in the direction of the shop. She detested all aspects of interior design. When she arrived at the business, she noticed that it wasn't particularly crowded and that John was at the main counter perusing a catalog. "You've already returned. With that directive, I assumed his house was in danger of collapsing. "Oh, I assure you, it is. Everything will be required of him. I'll need you to call some pals, John, and I'll need a new kitchen, bathroom, and everything else. There is a ton of work, thus we will require labor. There are a ton of people. She may endure this in time to go because there were many extra bodies available to ensure they were never left alone. She was acting cruelly. She knew it was wrong, yet she still did it. "I don't get easily scared." So what if there are rats or roaches? he questioned. She wouldn't pretend otherwise, but she had a job to perform and the very thought of either one made her gag. "I'll take care of it." They made her feel disgusting, so she could scream or dance around the area horribly. Being near her mate would be preferable than everything. It was bad that Phoenix was so close. He being close to her made her wolf pleased, but she didn't want to be. He turned her down. It was now beyond time. Whatever his justifications—which she didn't accept—they had no future together. Regardless of what her parents want, she wanted to move away and begin a new life. Not at all, no. You desire to remain with your group. You cherish your pack. Because it was the truth, she sighed. “Fine.” She was free to ignore him. She had engaged in the avoidance game for a long time. There is nothing improper with repeating the action, especially in a little restroom. She began at the top wall and moved her brush across, picking up all the leaves and hanging cobwebs in the process. She pulled it out of the tub with her tiny scooper. A terrible brown stain that formed a rim was all around. She took a step back and struck the sink, which abruptly dropped, causing her to leap back and land directly in Phoenix's arms. He encircled her in an effort to support her weight. I've got you, he assured her. You may now let go. But I enjoy cuddling with you. She couldn't help but shut her eyes as her body went into overdrive as his hold appeared to get even tighter. Her n*****s began to stiffen, and her p***y became sticky. This was unjust. She desired him. Her physical self betrayed her mental self. She wouldn't yield to him. Never, not right now. He would harm her. She didn't believe she would ever get over his scathing remarks because they had stuck with her for such a long time. She had some hope that she could, but she had no idea how. He got her hand on his. Let me leave. We have work to do. He initially refused to comply with her request, but eventually he did and moved away. She immediately missed his touch, which only irritated her. **** Phoenix was neither a fool nor an i***t. As he counted the arrival of fifteen men and ladies, he couldn't help but stare at Rebecca because he knew when he was being played. She had invited additional people, so he had the opportunity to spend some time with her alone. In an effort to keep her by his side, he crossed his arms across his chest. He turned to Rebecca and said, "That didn't take long." "Alpha, everyone likes you. They're all so sorry that you have to deal with this because they only want what's best for you and this house. Is it still possible for me to spend the night at your parents' house? She bowed. It does, indeed. You see, I told you I could meet with everyone I needed in person. She gave him a wink. The first day passed swiftly, as a result. They had demolished the entire upstairs by five o'clock. Even some of the flooring had been ripped up, and walls had been demolished. The plumber and the electrician both agreed to show up tomorrow. The upstairs would take a few days, possibly even a couple of weeks to get perfect, but they would get there since John had called and put in a good word. Phoenix said goodbye to everyone and thanked them before leaving him and Rebecca alone. He left the building after locking the doors. Rebecca was standing by a tree waiting. She enquired, "What do you think?" I value all they do for me and they're all nice folks. We are a fantastic pack and are always happy to band together to assist others. Then why do you want to go? he questioned. She groaned. "You know why," I said. "I am aware of what they are, Rebecca, but they are totally unwarranted. As you are aware. In addition, I am aware that there is nothing I can do to convince you to change your view.
