CHAPTER THREE

BROKE A VOW

Tessie woke up with a slight headache, she felt light headed she instantly knew she had a lot to drink the previous night.

wait where was she, how did she get here and why was she totally naked, she only had the dovet covering her till shoulder level. They must have lounged in a hotel the previous night, she came up with an idea to convince herself that nothing happened but her mind quickly countered the idea, this doesn't look like a hotel, even a five star hotel won't be this large and beautiful moreover Jessica won't undress her this way.

Another thought quickly popped into her brain, was I kidnapped? So why would I be lying in such a luxurious bed.

" I need to get out of this place" she finally concluded her thoughts can wait for later.

Immediately she stood up to reach for her cloths that was neatly kept on the sofa, Kai opened the door. Tessie hurriedly pulled the duvet to cover herself nakedness.

" Great you are awake, I made a cup of tea to help you feel sober" Kai said without looking at her direction " and you shouldn't be that way with me I literally cleaned you up when you fell asleep"

" Who are you ?"

" What am I doing here and why am I naked ?" She confusely asked

" One question at a time please, first of all I am the guy you drank with the previous night " he turned towards her as if he wanted to ask her if she recalled anything yet, then he continued " what you are doing here ?, You agreed to go home with me after your friends left without you and you probably had so much to drink and finally you got here in my car" he made his way to the door so he could give her time to freshen up " I would be downstairs "

" What have I done ?" Tessie asked herself in a disappointed tone " a one night stand with a total stranger, yes stranger, he is just a stranger and after today I won't see him again" she said in a more relieved manner. She quickly drank the tea which had a great taste or more like a taste of luxury. She went into the bathroom, filled the tub with water added soap to the water and sat on it, a great sense of tranquility came over her as she sang in the tub.

Satisfied by the time spent in the water, she decided to dress up. She needed to check up on Jessica it was unlike her to leave the club without her.

She quickly dressed up and went downstairs where she met Kai having breakfast " Join me" he ordered making her feel uncomfortable.

" No thank you, I better head home" she turned him down " take this for the stress" he said as he brought out a bundle of money alongside the gold bracelet

" What stress?" She inquired

" You don't really remember anything, do you ?" He snapped in.

" No I don't " she replied

" You where a good girl the previous night that's why I am appreciating you, dummy"

" Good girl, dummy" non of this was making sense but she took the money aways she can't loose in both aspect right " what's the gold for ?"

" For your drinking skill, you where very good last night " he added

She remembered the drinking incident and felt ashamed, how could she embarrassed herself in front of so many people. She gradually picked the bracelet and turn to leave when suddenly she thought of something, if she was so embarrassed of something she remembered doing what of the ones she was unable to remember, she wished in her mind she would never see him again.

" We had an amazing s*x " he said coldly

" What did you say?" She asked.

" It was awesome, and please say hello to Sebastian " trying his best to piss her off.

" How did you know about him ?" She was shocked, while silently praying the outcome wasn't what she was thinking as she was use to saying his name whenever they where having s*x.

" You mentioned his name couple of times the previous night" he said in-between the food in his mouth.

" I think I should take my leave now" Tessie said with undeniable shame hovering around her.

He stood up and followed her as she walked to the door, he went closer to the door and punched in some numbers which unlocked the door.

" I hope to hookup with you again" Kai teased with a devilish smile on his face

" I hope never to see your ugly face again" Tessie replied midway outside the door.

She tried brushing the thought of what he said to her, it was a one night stand nothing's bad with that moreover I won't be seeing him again she kept assuring herself.

Thank God it was weekend, as she got home she rushed to her kitchen opened the freezer and started off with a piece of cake she wasn't able to finish the previous day, later she ate some apples, bananas and finished up with some microwaved spaghetti carbonara sprinkled with cheese. She couldn't believe she didn't eat the previous night, she never missed a meal since she started making little money to support herself.

When she was young she skipped meals always most times she ate once a day because her parents where poor and couldn't afford to feed their Seven children well. She always cried to bed and vowed never to skip a meal once she started making money, thanks to this stranger she don't even know his name she broke her long time ritual because of this she decided to make it up to herself by over feeding that morning. After forcing herself to finish the spaghetti, her stomach couldn't house more food, she dragged her overfed self to her room and promise to continue after digesting the already eaten food.

" Tess, are you home " a voice called out to her amidst knocking on her door. Tessie picked up her phone " ooh, I have been gone for two hours, that must be Jess ". She rapidly jumped of the bed " I am coming " she yelled back.

" I was worried about you Tess, where did you go ?" Jess inquired as she threw her arms around Tessie's neck and gave her a hug.

" It's a long story, but it ended up with a one night stand" Tessie informed Jessica

" No way, you didn't just say that".

" I did Jess, and I am serious, see" Tessie showed Jessica the money and gold bracelet " he even paid for it".

" Don't tell me you are now into the business" Jess surprisedly said

" Don't be ridiculous Jess, I was drunk".

" You promised me you won't take more drinks " Jess frowned.

" I am sorry Jess, that guy had a way of convincing me, he challenged me to a competition and staked this bracelet I don't know the worth yet but I think it's real" Tessie confessed.

" Who is this guy anyway ?" Jessica queried.

" The hot guy, the one you said was staring at me"

"Omg! Are you kidding me " Jessica asserted " I knew he was up to something "

" But why did you guys leave me there ?"

" We came to the table and you were gone, we looked around but no trace of you, then we thought you've already gone home" Jessica explained.

" It's okay, I know you won't possibly leave me without a good reason. I guess I was at the bar then " Tessie informed.

" When did you get home ?" Jessica grilled

" This morning, probably three hours ago "

" Did he drop you off ?" Jessica interrogated

" Hell no..... Jess, are you insane ?" Tessie pumped.

" Do you think I will possibly allow him bring me home, that would blow my badie cover. Listen Jess, it was a one night stand and nothing more".
