23 moons since the attack the Frozen tribe main camp
0.63 miles away from home
It was a dark and cold night in no-leaf and there was no prey for Snowtail. His white pelt was hidden in the moonlight but his dark blue eyes shone like none other. He was wondering if he was going to go hungry again tonight when out of nowhere a rabbit stood mouse-length away from him. He immediately went into a hunting crouch and crept towards it. Then he sprung at the rabbit and hit the ground tumbling, getting only one scratch into the rabbit. sprang back up as quick as he could to chase the rabbit but to his surprise, the rabbit had not moved. It was staring at him, waiting to be killed. "Did it not see me? Should I kill it?" He asked himself wondering what was going on. Suddenly, the rabbit turned and started hopping away. It wasn't running away so the kit followed it, hoping that it would lead him to its home where there would be plenty of prey.
The rabbit led Snowtail to a place that was wrecked with two leg giants. There were huge nests that seemed to go up into the sky. The kit had to be careful around these giants because they were unpredictable and did not care if he was crushed by their giant smoke-producing capsules. He let out a sigh of relief when the rabbit started to slow down between two giant nests with a big wall at the end making only one side enterable. As the shadows consumed him he was tracking the rabbit closely when it made an abrupt stop in front of the wall and jumped onto a green bin. Before he could follow the rabbit he was grabbed by his chest and lifted off the ground by a giant. The kit quickly tried to break free but he would have to do more than struggle to getaway. Realizing what he had to do, he unsheathed his claws and struck the giant right in its shoulder. He was put down. He could see the blood falling from the giant's shoulder while they were walking away but he also noticed something on the ground that read the words "Memo". "Memo?" He thought as he approached it. Getting a closer look he saw other pages other than the one on top, he tried to get it open by clawing at it and jumping on it. "There must be something on the other side," he thought as he tried to flip it over.
Suddenly, a page flipped and exposed the kit to a map of where he was now and places they lay far across the land. There was giant gibberish splattered across each page, encrypted and indecipherable. He flipped the next page and a vision burned through his mind like a burning forest. He saw fire, smoke, forest, and three figures standing in front of the drowning sun. He could not recognize these figures until one of them started to fade in. The white pelt, the dark blue eyes, and the scrawny thin body. He couldn't believe what he was seeing, it was him, suddenly he felt a sense of responsibility, like the fate of a whole forest, lying in his paws. The vision kept going, sending him images faster than he could think then, they just stopped and his vision turned pitch black. He was left to think about what he saw. What was this vision trying to tell him? What was that to begin with? Who were these other cats and why were they so important? And where would he find them?
Suddenly, a message was passed to him, but there was no voice, just images of his past and an unrecognizable forest. His vision was coming back but he was somewhere new. A whole new forest that looked filled with prey. He could feel his mouth-watering. Then, there was rustling in the bushes, getting louder and louder. Suddenly his dream of a nice forest turned into a nightmare as he realized he was not the only animal that was looking for its prey.
Snowtail started to run, gaining speed to get away from whatever might be chasing him. But something heavy was on his back, holding him back from his top speed. he glanced back and saw a large shadow chasing only a couple of tail-lengths behind him and the heavy object in his back was the large logbook he found before he got to this strange place. He as hit his top speed but the thing behind him was still gaining on him. Snowtail was running out of stamina, slowing down for his opponent to take him down at any moment, hopefully knocking him out of this nightmare.
In a heartbeat, the person chasing after them jumped onto him and sent him onto the ground. an unfamiliar smell pierced his nostrils, the smell was strange and foreign to what he was used to. Snowtail started to think about how far away he might be from home, none will know where or how he died. The thing's figure was standing on top of him, Snowtail felt a paw hit his chest. He was ready to feel the pain of his chest getting cut open.
But, he realized the paw was not moving, and the claws were sheathed, "Got ya!" he looked up to see a brown and white she-cat with one green eye on her left and one light blue eye on her right, she had a fake flower on the top of her right ear that carried a powerful but pleasant smell. "You can run pretty fast with that notebook you have on your back! Who are you anyway? you're not from around here are you?" The she-cat said changing tones as she went on. "uh, you go first" Snowtail said, "Ok!" she screamed joyfully, "my name is Alison, some cats say I'm the happiest cat in the whole town, anyway welcome to cat island! Well, that's what we call it, humans call this place strew-Ville. It's a pretty small town but there's a lot of cats that live here and get fed off the humans or live with them. Sorry, I tend to get a little off the track when speaking to newcomers"
"Anyways, what's your name?" Alison said practically jumping around awaiting Snowtails answer, Snowtail had to think about this for a moment. If he says his tribe name these cats they might take him as an enemy. "Memo" Snowtail thought, "Well what is it? it should not take you this long to remember your name!" Alison said, looking disappointed that he had not answered her. "It's, Memo," Snowtail said, "So the notebook is like your collar?" she said, "I guess so," he replied, "Never seen that before, anyway let me show you our camp! I can even get you a place to eat and sleep. That is if you need it." Snowtail forgot how hungry he was and didn't even know he said yes almost instantly.
