24 moons since the attack on Frozen tribe main camp
93.6 miles from home
"This is it!" Alison said as she passed through the bushes, as memo went through the bushes the huge camp of cats started to come to view, he saw about a hundred cats as soon as he entered the clearing. there were structures made out of the giant tree that stood in the middle of the clearing, the tree had huge holes spaced evenly on each side and cats inside of most of them.
"Welcome to the wooden city!" Alison meowed excitedly as they fully emerged into the clearing, "I'll show you around then we can get food and rooms set up!" Alison said. she insisted on helping him so much, but he felt bad and embarrassed that she was helping him, even though he's a random cat she found in the forest. What if there's more to the story? What if she knew about his journey over here or even that he's a former clan member?
"The leading cats made this city because of their love for humans and how they function. We still have to work out some stuff to find out exactly what the humans do to lead their 'colonies'." She said as they were walking down to the clearing full of cats. "Oh, and if anyone asks you where your from, say that you're from here, ok?" Alison stared at him with her big green and blue eyes, awaiting his response. He nodded, then they were off, going into the "city" of cats.
The sun was now high above the trees, giving out its warmth, Alison had given Memo a small tour of the city and now they were going to find something to eat. Memo was starving, he had not eaten anything for 2 moons, after all, the last potential meal he could have had was that rabbit. "So what do you want?" Alison said with a smirk on her face, they were nowhere near the forest, only by a tiny stick made shelter and a couple of larger structures. "Oh uh, what's your favorite type of animal to eat?" She said looking anxious for Memos response, he had always loved the meat of squirrels due to their muscular bodies and meaty legs. "squirrel" he replied, he was wondering if she was just going to run out into the small pack of bushes outside of the so-called 'human home' and catch some for them, if she did, Memo would be ready to spring after her to show that he can hunt for himself.
But that never happened, all memo saw was Alison saying something to the strange cat and receiving two plump squirrels ready to eat. She brought the squirrels over and Memo gave his thanks, thinking about how she had only found him in the forest not even a moon ago. This made him wonder if she was aware of where he had come from and where he was meant to go. But that would not matter in the end, he was leaving tomorrow during the night, he was going to go back home. The vision he had must not be true and he must still be in a strange dream. No matter what, he made up his mind. He was going back home to face the raiders that his tribe tried to defeat while he ran away. He will die there, no doubt in his mind.
0 days after the raid on Frozen tribe main camp
Frostbite started to move, waking up from a nightmare that he was forset into after being kicked off the mountain by the clan's medicine cat, Tigersky. He tried to stand up, but it felt as if his body was being crushed under the weight of the entire forest. He looked down to see he had been impaled by a small spike-shaped rock, Frostbite could see his blood dripping from his wounds created by cuts from sharp rocks and the attack on his former home. The pain was unbearable, he wanted to die right there and then, but he started thinking, about the sadness that has now consumed him, he started to realize he will never see any of his loved ones ever again. There's not much time left, but how much is not a lot? And how long will it be before his tribe forgives him? Not enough time, never enough time. Frostbite started to drift off into a never-ending sleep, he knew he had to do something, say something.
"Not yet!" Frostbite screamed, "Give me another chance!" He screamed once again, begging for his life with every morsel in his body. A bright light blinded him, yet somehow lifting him to his paws and easing the pain in his chest. He opened his eyes to see a white landscape, filled with nothing but the small lines on the floor of the empty world. "Hello?" Frostbite thought he said, but his mouth had not moved, it was almost as if something was keeping him from speaking. This room... It's filled with something, yet nothing at the same time. Finally, Frostbite got a response, "Hello, Frostbite" Said the voice, soon Frostbite saw three cats unlike any other in front of him, "What is this place? How do I get home?" Frostbite didn't say but also said at the same time, they couldn't hear his thoughts, so the cats only stared at him.
"So, you what another chance Frostbite? Why do you deserve it?" Said the godly voice. Frostbite felt his jaws move, almost unlocking itself from the position it had been in since he has been in this strange place, but he could speak now!
"I was trying to save her! I was desperate for someone to come run away with me, I chose her because I-" Frostbite paused, "They were going to kill me. They said I could take someone with me if I told them where everyone was. If I could go back, I would change my decision, I would risk my life for them, I would save them." Frostbite replied, feeling the pain now more than ever. Even in the face of death, he lies about who he truly is, a truth that we will only learn later on this adventure.
The three cats look at each other and nodded before saying, "We will give you a chance, yet whether you go back is not our discussion to have. Others shall choose, they are watching right now, they shall vote, we will meet again soon Frostbite, very soon." The voice said, Frostbite's vision started to fade away, then bringing him to a forest. He started to run around, looking for a home, but this place seemed to loop. A never-ending cycle, a trap, a prison.
