Chapter 36: RainThe next day, I found my pillow sodden and slightly foul smelling. My ears must have drained even more, but they were thankfully clear. The wet pillow proved enough of an impetus for getting out of bed and helping Antonia off to school. Luckily, the farm was busy. A local women’s group stopped by to discuss organizing a social Harvest Time event and they kept me busy well into lunchtime. After eating lunch, I sat staring at my phone.
