Chapter 7.1

2083 Words
When I get into the bathroom, I find Tyler gently take the jalousies off their frame. “Are you sure your body could fit in that small window?” I ask him as he puts the remaining blade across the tiled floor. I think it was so wrong of me to suggest him the bathroom because looking at the size of his body, I doubt that he will fit in that small sized window. He puts his feet across the toilet bowl and my eyes flare in fear because it might not able to hold his weight but I feel my body calm down a bit when it doesn't c***k. Lucky for him because few months ago, I already can't remember when did it happen exactly but there was a student at school, he was younger than me but way bigger than me. For no certain reason, after he took a pee in the school's bathroom, he suddenly stood across a toilet bowl and unexpectedly, it cracked because of his weight. What made it even worse was he hit his head right across the toilet bow; and bloods gushed out of his calp in the process but what made it even more worse was I was there— I was by his side and I witnessed all that. I actually told Tyler about it but he just laughed at me not because someone got into an accident but because of how I delivered the story. “I have no other way out,” he says as he tries to to stick his head out of the window. I got out through it once because just like him, I was left with no choice. One time, my parents totally forgot that I was in the house and they unintentionally locked every way out because they were going somewhere and they thought I was in our neighbours' house playing minecraft with my childhood friends. I was about eight to nine years old and my body wasn't so big at all. That's why I had successfully slipped my body out. However, it's not the same as Tyler's case because he's already an adult and his body is rather big but I'm surprised to see his body fit successfully; He props his hands across the sill and then forcibly pushes his body out. He's already halfway through it before he can make himself go out but I feel lines form across my forehead as he slips his body back in the bathroom. “Why did you slip back?” he jumps off the toilet bowl and dusts his own hands across his pants. I look through my shoulder behind in apprehension when I hear the the doorbell ring—Why do I even feel nervous when I shouldn't. He doesn't answer me. “Van, You have to promise me one thing,” he whispers as I gaze my eyes back to him. He takes a step closer and looks straight into my eyes. He appears like he is up to hypnotism the way he looks in my eyes which is very effective because I feel myself slowly drawing into his eyes. I resist the strong pull when I feel my heart skip a beat; I don't know if there's something to be be nervous about but I nod nevertheless. I see his Adam's apple bob up and down— and so does mine before I catch his lips stretch into a wide smile. “Don't sell the pic, Okay?” He really doesn't trust me, does he? But if ever I sell it, how much bucks can I make out of it? I imagine every girl at school—especially Dyan, eagerly fall in line in front of me to avail the pic for twenty bucks and there's a wide grin across my face while collecting their pennies and I'll become rich for a year, won't ask for my parents' money and I'll be able to pay the tuition on my own. “Let me think thoroughly about it first.” He pinches the edge of my eyebrow and laughs because he knows I'm just making fun of him. He leans his face closer and plants a quick kiss across the tip of my nose. His intense blue eyes make me feel like I walk above a huge wave and I feel air of peace gush through my body upon walking that wave. However, that feeling does not last long because he quickly leans his face off. “I'll see you tomorrow at school.” “If you don't show up?” I challenge him. If he won't show up again, I'll definitely spread his pink ass to my classmates and I'll ask each of them for commission. He puts the hood of his hoodie on his head before he says, “Break up with me if I don't. . . I'm not going to let that to happen anyways.” What if he really won't show up? Will I break up with him? The answer is definitely no. I have endured all the pain for two consecutive years just to end our relationship for a bet? Unless, he asks me to because he already falls out of love and that's valid because everything might change at time like what I said. I don't know what future holds. As I mentioned before, I'll fight for our relationship if it's still worth fighting for but if he's already giving everything up, then I don't see the reason to fight. Why would you keep running after a certain person if he's already driving you a way? That's completely unfair—you are being unfair. It's okay—valid to feel sad, to cry, drink after break ups because that will mean: You are genuine but running after a person because you still love him after he told you that he already fell out of love is a desperate take. Well, atleast for me. We all have different beliefs anyways so I can't blame those who yearn for second chance. I roll my eyes on him. “I'll punch you in the face if you don't show up. No cap.” He just chuckles and pinches the tip of my nose. “I have to go. See you at school.” He leans in, plants a quick kiss on my lips and winks. Ocean can wink—his eyes really look like a wave drowning you in until you are out of breath. “Don't forget what I told you. I'm serious about it.” “Yes, My love.” I feel my blood rush in my cheeks— I'm caught off guard by what he just called me; I didn't anticipate that at all but he just laughs at my reaction before he quickly slips out of the window. I immediately head back to the foyer as he fades from my view. I didn't know that this is what it feels to be in a person that you truly love and to be in a person that truly loves you; I feel trusted despite all the lies—I feel trusted despite not telling me what he is going through. I wonder if he feels the same to me. I peek through the peakhole of the front door to find Britney already standing at the door with creases across her forehead. Her eyes keep glancing back and forth on the phone in her hand. Where are the pizzas? Did she eat it all? She presses the doorbell once again in utter annoyance and stomps her feet on the ground. I decide to wait for about a minute before I'll open the door to annoy her more until she reaches her peak. I see her peep through the gap between the floor and door below before I hear her say, “b***h, I literally can see your damn shadow behind the door.” Since I'm already famished and I can't hold my famishment for thirty seconds more, I unlock the door and open it with a wide grin across my face. The first thing my eyes catch the moment I open the door is the boxes of pizza lay across the floor beside Britney's white sneakers. I was never fond of pizzas before but right now I just want to devour it including the box. * “Where are your parents? Are they on dates?” she asks as she wanders her eyes around. Perhaps, she also wonders why our house is relatively quiet today. A burp comes out my mouth as I shove the last slice of pizza in my stomach. Britney gives me a look of digust before she throws a pillow towards my direction but my hands are fast enough to catch it. "No. It's not their thing. Ty—They said that they are visiting a place today but they didn't tell me where." Tyler's name almost slipped off my tounge. I heave a sigh inwardly but I doubt she noticed that. I throw the pillow back at her and it goes right across her face which has me laughing on my stomach. She gives me a death glare and throws it back but it just lands beside me. “I dropped by your house last friday but you weren't there,” I tell her between risidual laughters. I reach the glass of apple juice across the table between us and take a big gulp. I belch again but this time, it's barely audible. I just appreciate how vital foods are in our lives. If I get to pass by homeless people, I'll definitely buy them foods because I know how it feels already to carry an empty stomach; The feeling is so frustrating. I watch her subconsciously rub her palms together before she replies, “I was in my grandma's place to inform her that my sister got home already.” Got ya! I just caught her lying red-handed but I nod nevertheless. if she was not with her other friends, Where did she really go? She can't be in her grandma's place because she told me before that both her grandparents from maternal and paternal side died before she was even born. “I see. And did you tell her that your sister is finally conceiving?” “Yes. It was supposed to be a suprise but I f****d it up— The information just rolled off my damn tounge. My parents will surely kill me.” She laughs. “Knowing you, it should not come as a surprise. You know what your tounge is capable. That's why I don't trust divulging my secrets to you because of that mouth of yours.” She rolls her eyes. “Wow. Thank you. That almost melts my heart.” “You're always welcome. By the way, What do you want to tell me?” I bring my feet on the table and prop my arm across the arm rest. “You're not going to believe this.” She leans in a little as though what she is about to divulge is the cure to her nosiness but I doubt that. “What is it?” I take my arm off the armrest and lean in a little. Not wanting to miss the bomb she's about to throw. “Dyann is pregnant.” She looks in my eyes, waiting for my reaction. I thought she would tell me something like: Jupiter is not actually jupiter and it's mars or something like: fart is the key for longer life. I lean my back and bring my arm back the arm rest, feeling rather disappointed and uninterested to the subject. “I'm surprised to know that you're surprised.” “That's not the reply that I expected you to say. Aren't you going to ask who's the father?” She tucks a strand of hair behind her ear, crosses her legs together and reaches a slice of pizza in the box on the table. "“Who's the father? Is he a hollywood actor?” I yawn, becoming less interested every second. “Can you reach the orange juice for me first?” I listlessly give her the juice and wait impatiently for her to empty the glass. She leisurely wipes the wet on the side of her lips with a table napkin before she says, “The one who got her pregnant is none other than Tyler.”
