Chapter 5
Detective Rodriguez met Dana back at the last place anyone had last seen Rich Walters, in a much less obvious outfit this time. Now she wore blue knee-length shorts and a flowery tank top. She’d even switched out the aviators for an oversized white pair of sunglasses.
The number of people walking around wearing Santa hats or Santa-themed clothing had gone up dramatically, so Dana suspected standing out wasn’t that much of a worry.
The hats in particular amazed her in the muggy afternoon air.
A quick conversation didn’t get Dana any more information than she already had, except when it came to Chuck Schoenson. Neither Detective Rodriguez—who still insisted on being called Michelle—or anyone else on the police force thought highly of him.
