CHAPTER 4 - NEVER AGAIN

JADA's POV

"Xander... Xander ... no please wait, I can explain... Xander it's all a lie ... please! Ahaaaaahaaa" I cried out, all my body shaking and quivering with pain, feelings that I couldn't explain.

I already figured out that my uncle and cousin knew something About what was happening, my uncle's laughter caught my ears and I scowled at him, "you are just so unlucky" he spoke to me, before following the retreating form of his daughter and Alpha Xander.

Bridget didn't spare me a glance. She had gotten what she wanted, my man and this time she got him clean and easy. Rage filled my heart at once, I stood up from the floor, all eyes were on me. People murmuring and jabbering about me.

I cleaned my hot tears and ran out of the hall in embarrassment, heading straight to the main gate. I didn't stop until I was out of the gate. The guards knew that I had just been rejected and humiliated by my mate so they didn't try to stop me.

I flung my shoes angrily and walked barefooted all the way, I don't know where I was going but the anger and dissapiontment kept me going. I felt betrayed, at least he should have given attention to me and listened to my part of the story.

I don't know what he heard or saw, if he loves me as much as he has always confessed he should have given me a chance, "men are all the same!" I mumbled to myself as I wandered alone in the darkness.

The night was getting quieter and I realised I was almost alone, walking along a deserted road, before I knew what was happening some gang of smelly and heavy men apprehended me and seized me to a small stinking house.

"Pretty little thing... your life had been paid for... you are so beautiful to die like this but ... they are going to pay us lots of money, we can't say no" one of the men with dirty teeth informed me.

I snickered at him, my thought moving swiftly to the Lycan king, he must have dispatched them. I have seen how he crushes his enemies, he would never let me go unpunished. Now he wants me dead.

Sizzling tears escaped from my tired eyes and I just let them flow, just then my eyes fell on a dirty old knife, the next thing I knew was my wolf taking possession.

She charged at the man grinning in front of me and stabbed him with the knife repeatedly on his neck, the other three men were in the other room.

I rushed out of the door before they knew what had happened, they sprinted after me and I just kept going. I'm a weak omega but my biggest potency is my fast pace, I can run miles without getting exhausted.

That night as I ran, I stumbled by another pack and I headed for it, luckily for me I met with the Alpha of the pack. Alpha Eros took me in and kept me safe away from the rogues who wanted me dead.

"You are safe with me jada... just relax and be at ease, nobody will hurt you here" he told me one day, we were both sitting in his palace garden, sipping cold wine and having dessert.

He had finally asked me why I was running on the night he found me and I told him everything about Alpha Xander. He felt so sorry for me and pledged to keep me safe.

"Thank you ... thank you very much, I know I'm lucky once again and I will pay you back for all your goodness and empathy toward me" I thanked him, glimpsing into his beautiful eyes.

Alpha Eros isn't as handsome or sturdy built as my mate but he's a sight to behold as well, a fine looking man with a soft heart, he hardly shouts or yells around me, unlike my mate.

Two months into my stay in the white ice pack, I found out that I was carrying the lycan's king baby. I couldn't keep it away from my helper so I told him at once.

To my shock he accepted the pregnancy and even suggested that we get married before I give birth, promising and swearing to protect me and my unborn child.

My heart extended at once to him, he's such an admirable and charming man. "Which woman wouldn't want a man like you... Alpha Eros?" I told him, blushing to myself, I accepted his proposal at once.

I was in my chambers just relaxing and enjoying calming stories and chattering from my two young maids when a strange beautiful woman bursted in, "where is that pregnant whore... where is she... ohoo there she is, listen to me..

I looked her over and cut her off at once, instantly I knew why she came, she had come to fight with me over Alpha Eros, all through my six month stay here, I have never seen her and now she poops out of nowhere to threaten me!

The memories of how my cousin took my mate from me jerked me into fight mode at once, I ordered my guard to throw her out of my quarters, I wouldn't let another woman take away this happiness from me. A man that loves and accepts me with all my flaws.

As she was being thrown out I heard some of the gibberish she said, she called herself Emilia and introduced further that she's Alpha Eros's mate, she also cautioned me to be careful about him and stay away from him. She said something about Alpha Eros taking me in for his greedy and voracious purposes.

When he came back I told him everything at once, of course I didn't believe her but I had to hear from him, he sat me down and explained that she's truly his mate but he doesn't love her.

He also told me that everything she had said was a lie because she's envious and wanted to seperate us, confirming my own thoughts. I promise to hold unto him and close my ears to whatever Emilia had to say.

Emilia didn't stop after her one visit, she kept on returning to my door, screaming and making a fool of herself, especially when Alpha Eros wasn't around, she didn't dare to do that in his presence.

I ignored her totally and focused on Alpha Eros. One day in his absence Emilia threw me off the staircase and I thought I had lost my baby. I bled out a lot of blood.

When the doctors notified me that my babies were doing well, I also found out that they were twins and I swore to protect them by all means necessary. . I hate their father but I love my unborn twins a lot.

Alpha Eros was beyond angry, I tried to implore him not to punish Emilia but he didn't pay attention. All through that night, her cries pierced into my ears as she received several lashes of cane from his punishing wardens.
