4. Beginning

Talking to my brother about this subject was not so easy, but at list I convinced him to let me live by myself. He picked up the little cottage near the pack house but still it was more private place with amazing greenery around it and lake view. In the beginning it was weird living alone but soon I even started enjoying it. the years went by, but we couldn’t even find anything similar to my case. I was training 5 days a week and engrossed myself in either pack work or my research about my wolf and I. Only friend that visited me was Samantha, well because she was only girl I was close to and my brother of course, no other males allowed, or I was loosing quite a bit of blood and was on verge of shifting every minute. I connected with Hades in a deep level but still my body was not built up for his strength, wherever any male was looking at me he was becoming so irritated that I had nosebleed immediately, he even apologised for this, but he could not control it either so I started to avoid people more and more. After four years I got little theory of how to control his emotions better but I was afraid to test it till one evening when out of nowhere our beta mind linked me:

- Mira, I need your help! I just don’t know anyone who can help me other than you.

- Nathan? What’s wrong?

- It’s Dimitri. I don’t know what’s happened, we just returned from the Alpha’s meeting and he went straight to his office and is destring everything. I just don’t understand what is wrong, can you please come and help him to calm down. You are only person who he will listen to.

- Sure! I am on my way.

Listen here Hades we have to go and help my brother, we are going in the pack house and there will be many males so I have a theory to control your outbursts and hope you won’t be too angry with me. He was just silent when I grabbed the wolfsbane with napkin and put it into the necklace and put it on, it made me little dizzy but I can’t lose more time. As I entered the pack house all eyes were on me as I haven’t visited for years. I did not stop there I went straight to my brother’s office and there was the person I tried to avoid most - Adrian and instantly there was growling inside my head. As Adrian looked at me his eyes widened and I noticed there still flickered little fire and admiration. I checked my nose first and it was clear and I did not have an urge to shift so I think my method is working. wolfsbane is weakening Hades so he can’t use his whole strength to push. Nathan looked pale. I don’t have to lose any second. I don’t know anything but I have to enter and figure it out. I did not even say hi I just stormed between them and entered into Dimitris office. he looked in agony on the verge of shifting but almost stuck in half way. Everything was destroyed even the walls were barely standing. At this rate he will ruin the hole pack house. I did not know what to do he was not acknowledging me so I screamed to stop him with my full strength and it seemed to work he looked at me and then I hugged him.

- Calm down brother! Please! you are scaring me. What’s wrong?

I don’t know how long we were standing like that, maybe hours, but he finally calmed and sat down. I sat next to him.

- Please talk to me?

- Mira.

Even his voice was so pained my heart clenched.

- Dimitri.

- I found my mate.

- Oh, my goddess! But what is wrong? Who is she?

- Enemy!

- What do you mean?

- She is his gamma.

I knew exactly who he was referring to.

- Gamma of Black Mountains?

- Yea! Talk about my luck.

He chucked sarcastically.

- You rejected her?

- No, I could not actually have a moment with her, when everyone was there.

- Thanks Goddess!

- What?

- What, what? Are you stupid or something! Don’t even think about rejecting her! You have waited for so long for her and now what? You are going to just give up on her because she belongs to Black Mountains? Let me enlighten you brother about how this mate stuff works – now that you have found have, she belongs to you and you belong to her no matter the packs! You are an Alpha, act like one.

- Dimitri have faith in our people and the love they have for you. She is your mate. Even if there will be hardships, they will accept her. The moon goddess chose her to be our Luna, how can someone stand in the way of that. but the thing is, you have to accept her first and win her heart. And when you both acknowledge each other, believe me things will fall in their place by themselves.

- When did you became expert in mate affairs? While making everything sound so easy!

Well when I have given up on finding mine! I won’t allow my own brother to suffer because of this stupid war and refuse this gift and his well-earned happiness.

- Moon goddess chose her for a reason Dimitri. You two will work out.

- I don’t know.

- Yes, you do! She has already found her place in your heart and you can’t turn time so better accept the truth before you make even bigger mistake. Look at this place it’s terrible.

- I will think!

- Think properly! go now, think and rest, take bath and let’s meet up later, I will take care of this.

- You sure?

- Yes, leave already before I change my mind.

He hugged me with so much affection and love and left. Soon after Nathan and Adrian entered the room. I think Nathan had a mini heart attack as he saw to office.

- Oh, my goddess! What is this place?

- Can you help me in here?

- Sure! Mira thank you so much I don’t know what I would do without you.

- Nathan, you don’t need to thank me! He is my brother. I am the one who has to thank you for always having his back.

- What is happening? Why is he like this? Well he was not really on a good mood since morning but I did not suspect anything was so wrong. I just thought it was because of the meeting.

- Well it is not my place to tell you anything, but I assure you, he will be better. He just needs a little thinking and he will be okay, once he sets up his mind.

I was talking to Nathan but I could feel Adrian’s eyes on me. He did not say a word but he still seems to like me I guess and Hades was not appreciating it at all and even though I was wearing my necklace I was still feeling his frustration.

- Nathan! Could you please take care of this room? I really need to go now.

- Sure, sure you can leave this to me.

- Thank you!

I left straight away and returned home, I took necklace off and almost jumped at the sofa thinking about today! Mate, he found his fated MATE!
