“I couldn’t give less of a damn, Terrence. That woman is bad news. We didn’t have this many attacks last fall, and at that time, we were dealing with vampires and sazers!”
Jonah let them go on like that forever. Terrence would make a passionate point, Reena would counter, Terrence would take a different route, Reena would counter that, and so on. They hadn’t hung out in Reena’s art studio for awhile, so it was a welcome refuge. If Jonah had to deal with Terrence and Reena’s bickering, so be it. It took listening to their argument for him to build up the nerve to say the thing that would shut them up.
