Lili startle awake when she heard the door to a cell slam shut.
“Don’t move.” Lili remained perfectly still as she listened to voices in the cell next to her.
“You will stay in that cell until you decide to join the rogue King.”
“f***k him!” She heard a rough, and deep voice. Then she heard some scuffling, and what sounded like punches landing. Then a lot of moaning, like some one was in pain. The cell slammed shut again, and she heard footsteps walking toward her.
“She should be waking soon.”
“You think she’s playing possum?” Lili started to panic.
“Stay still.”
“No, we are lucky she’s not dead. He killed Simpson when he found out there was aconite in that drug we injected her with.” Then a different voice,
“Come on let’s go get lunch.” She heard voices retreating.
