Two days later, on a Monday morning, Zia went to school and was highly focused. She was the main topper of the class and she had a best friend by the name Jina. These two could do anything together at school times, including studying, break-times and discussions. But on this day, Zia was in no mood to talk to anyone at all, including her best friend.
JINA: Hey Zia, what's up?
Instead of responding, she kept quiet, looking like a person stuck in her own dimension. Jina called her name 7 times, til she finally came to her senses and responded back.
JINA: Girl, I called you like seven times and you seem as you were stuck in another world. Is anything else okay with you?
ZIA: Sorry sweetheart, I'm getting lost in my thoughts these days, and I wonder why. Never mind that, where's Miss Kelly? Isn't she supposed to be here by now?
Then 2 minutes later, Miss Kelly walked in, and all the students rose up and greeted her simultaneously. Miss Kelly then noticed that one of the students was absent from her class, and asked the kids about her.
MISS KELLY: Kids, where's Sarah Sky? Did she come to school today?
JINA: She called and told us that her grandmother is not feeling well so she is going to arrive late.
MISS KELLY: Oh, that's a shame. Hope her grandma recovers quickly. Anyways grab all your drawing materials, we're going to draw what comes from our hearts today. The students were extremely happy and decided to start right away.
Meanwhile, Zia's mind was suddenly taken over, and she started to draw what looked like a tree, and then lately drew a black car which was in a very disturbing condition, and beside it was a slightly damaged truck. The picture depicted an accident involving none other than the absent student Sarah.
Jina noticed Zia's painting and was taken by severe shock. She wondered as to why her best friend drew that type of picture from her heart.
JINA: Zia, what on earth did you drew?
Zia's mind was back to normal, and was taken by surprise, causing her to jump away from her desk, catching everyone's attention.
MISS KELLY: What's the matter Zia?
ZIA:(shallow breathing) S... SA... Sarah. Sarah is in trouble, Ma'am. She's in serious trouble!!
MISS KELLY: Relax, Zia. What do you mean by that? What kind of trouble are you talking about?
Zia ran out of the classroom, and went to the restroom, and washed her face with hot water.
MISS KELLY: Jina, is she okay?
JINA: Look at this, Ma'am.
Jina showed her teacher Zia's drawing, and she was horrified by what she saw.
Then 20 minutes later, breaking news went on air, reporting about a Nebraska High School student at an age of 14 has been killed in an accident on a highway when her mother's car collided with a runaway truck. The drivers of the truck were drug dealers, and they ran away from the scene after the crash and fled with the drugs. The girl's identity was discovered as Sarah Sky.
Miss Kelly was taken by severe shock when she heard the news. She then realized that what she saw on her laptop on air, exactly matched the Zia's drawing. All the students were extremely saddened by the sad news, especially Zia, who happened to be crying excessively in the restroom. Miss Kelly rushed to the restroom and hugged Zia out of concern.
MISS KELLY: Hey now, please stop crying, Zia. I know that it hurts losing a friend, trust me I know. But you need to get hold of yourself.
ZIA:(crying) But why did it have to be her?!
MISS KELLY: But how did you get to know that this could have happened?
ZIA: I really don't know, Ma'am. As a matter of fact, I don't even remember drawing that horrible picture.
MISS KELLY:(shocked) You don't? Now that's surely something to be concerned about. Come on now, enough sobbing in the restroom. Let's get to class. But thankfully, her mother who was driving her survived.
ZIA:(wiping tears) Yes Ma'am.
The time quickly passed by, and it was after school, where Jina and Zia walked their way home using the highway, that too on foot. Just 20 minutes later during their journey, they arrived at the scene of the crime, and found the place taped by police tape, where they saw broken pieces of metal, glass, pieces of steel and also a white powder substance which made a trail into the woods. The police never noticed the trail because it was in form of feint footprints.
JINA: This is exactly the place where it happened. But how did you come to know that this had happened?
ZIA: Surprisingly, I don't know too. Anyways let's get out of here.
They looked away from the scene and took off. It was then in the night at around 7 pm, and Zia made an excuse of going to get help from Jina on her homework, since Jina was also her close neighborhood friend who lived 2 blocks away.
Zia's mind was then taken over once again, and she went back to the scene where the accident took place. She then followed the cocaine-stained footprints, which led her all the way to the river which separated Nebraska from Missouri.
She somehow shifted into something unlikely. At that time, she was wearing a black tight dress, along with very long black hair and no shoes whatsoever. Her eyes became black throughout, including the sclera and the irises, completely filled with utter darkness. She ran on water, as if she was running on a race track and easily crossed the Missouri River.
ZIA:(eerie voice) I'm coming for you. Haunting season has begun.
