Family visit

3 Hours later

Slowly open my eyes and the first person I am seeing, my mother, sitting in front of me on the bedside, and I turn my head to see my father and sister standing beside where my head is at and there she is the beauty woman who has shattered my soul into pieces. Sitting there looking all decent, her clothes and her face look so decent but a snake that swallows you whole into a stomach filled with burning poison.

“If we could do this, we…….

They all startle and look at me in terror. I turn to look at Tanyaradzwa in disappointed since I did not want to see any one today.

“We could do this more civilized you know! One person at a time!”

Mother’s tears start flowing down her cheeks while she is looking at me with both pain and happiness being expressed on her face. At this moment I cannot bear to see my mother in pain, but who am I to blame except for myself for liking a container without enquiring about what it contains. I cannot tell her anything. Pops seems as his usual self, cannot tell whether he is happy or sad or angry.

“You gave us a scare there, son, almost thought you were not going to make it.”

“Ohh Okay, goodbye then sister, mother and father and everyone else, I am tired also and would like to sleep now!”

Tanyaradzwa’s happy facial expression gradually diminishes, “Not so fast, how rude can one man be, you have not even said a thing to your wife!”

“Come on, I am going to say a lot to her after I have recovered.”

“I am expecting many grand kids!” mother jumps in with her wish.

“Hahahaha mom, you are going to shut me up like you did father there!”

“And to those who I have not talked to, today, I will talk to you all tomorrow, for now ciao. Please Tanya, drop Vimbai home on your way back! I will see her tomorrow when I leave the hospital, I will not be imprisoned in here for so long.”

Door opens and Dr Shamhu enters with a syringe in her hand, Tanyaradzwa turns to look at me with a devious smile on her face.

“Do not turn to me! Your mama shut me up, so, I cannot allay anything,” father distances himself from the topic leaving me alone to battle.

I feel something in my arm and at this moment I already know I am too late to even resist. Tendai has already dipped the needle into my arm, well at least it was not a shot at the buttocks, that would have been embarrassing.

“I was hoping it was a back shot so I can see you bend it over!” Tanyaradzwa laughs out loud pushing my head.

She laughs as she looks at Vimbai who is still silent and seated intensely staring at me and I can feel there are emotions in her stare but I will keep on ignoring her.

“Is everything okay Mrs Zimuto?”

She does not reply but continues looking at me. My emotions are being riled by her looking at me, does she think I have amnesia and that I have forgotten about who she is? I could have pretended to have amnesia for a little while. To a time where I did not know this promiscuous. But that would have made her to try and make her personify herself as an angel of some sought, and I would learn more about her twisted nature or it would back fire, I could have made that deal with Tendai that time when I woke up but it is already too late.

“It seems like she is still in shock or maybe taken by surprise by you awakening.”

She moves a little closer in order for her to be able to shake Vimbai out of her fantasy. Tanya shakes her and she startles looking at Tanya in terror, with her face looking terrified and her body jumpy.

“Hey, ease up on yourself, I just wanted to ask why you have not said a thing ever since? We are about to leave after all!”

“I am sorry, I am still processing everything. You go on ahead, I will be staying besides him tonight.”

“You need to go with them, I will see you when I get home!”

To think, when I get out of this place I will be going back to that place where I live with my Judas, and I do not feel like Jesus. “Okay, I will see you tomorrow then.”

She leaves the room first and the rest of them follow. I hope they did not feel the tension between me and her because I really do not want them to interfere, I have a feeling, things will end badly for me. I have to keep it confined until I come to a resolution.

They all leave the room as I deep myself into the blankets and sleep.
