Michael helplessly rubbed his brows. "Cat, can you stop this?"
Catherine simply hung up the phone.
Michael still believed she was only throwing a fit.
It seemed that when someone loved too deeply and gave too much of themselves, even their decision to leave could be mistaken as nothing more than a childish attempt to seek attention.
Michael called her again, but Catherine ignored it and switched her phone to silent.
A while later, the screen lit up once more. She assumed it was Michael again, but after glancing at it with a frown, she realized it was the security captain from the base.
"Catherine, you finally answered! Hurry and come out here. There's an elderly woman at the entrance demanding to see you. Oh my, we can barely keep her from coming in!"
