Chapter 2 - Revenge

Things were going the opposite of what McKenzie planned. His smug and confident smile froze on his face, but once the shock passed, anger burned in his eyes. How dare this stupid b***h refuse him?

McKenzie's face reddened in anger.

Of course, the money was not the reason he was so enraged, it was his pride that was more bruised after being rejected by the likes of Ria. It was a great humiliation to be rejected by someone seen by all as a lowly, stupid mutt.

"No! You’re the partner that the Moon Goddess granted me. You can't refuse me!" he howled through gritted teeth and tightened his grip around Ria's hand. Nails digging into her skin, he threatened, "Do you know what the consequences are if you dare refuse your Alpha?"

Pain shot through her hand, but Ria endured it without flinching, completely hiding any sense of fear she felt. Ria knew that someone was recording them, so while she looked at McKenzie, she raised her voice. “I don’t believe a single word you’re telling me, so please let go of me! Otherwise, I’ll have to scream for help!”

There was a dark glint in McKenzie’s eyes, but they quickly regained their usual blue color. It was clear that he was teetering dangerously on the edge of an outburst, but he still tried his best to keep his calm. “Shut up! I’ll give you one last chance. I’m offering you a thousand dollars, and all you have to do is agree to sleep with me later. If you don’t agree to that, I’ll have to kill you. You got that?”

Ria had never seen this scary version of McKenzie before, but she knew that this was the real him. His usual easygoing and refined self was nothing more than an act when in fact he was a disgusting, narrow-minded, and wicked hypocrite.

“In your dreams! Just looking at you makes me sick!” The Ria of the past may have succumbed to his threats, but there was no way a pup like McKenzie could scare the current Ria who had lived through so much bloodshed and anguish. She tried to shake his hand off but was unsuccessful. McKenzie’s grip was like a steel pipe wound tightly around her hand.

“You f*****g b***h, you asked for this!” McKenzie dragged Ria forward into the dark alley. Covering her mouth with his palm, he shoved her roughly against the wall and pinned his knee between her legs, lifting her off the ground.

“Ugh…” Ria struggled to break free, but McKenzie was far stronger than her. Even with all her might, she was unable to get him to budge the slightest bit. Tears began to well in her eyes as anger and humiliation crept up inside of her.

McKenzie let go of Ria’s hand and violently tore off her clothes. He moved to her bra and underwear, the force of which left her body throbbing all over in pain. He groped her breast with one hand, quickly loosening his belt and pulling out his erect member that smelled strongly of musk. Getting an eyeful of Ria’s naked body, he smirked and leaned into her ear. “Now, you can scream for help. I’m sure you’d love to show your body off to everyone, wouldn’t you? Of course, you could just be obedient and take it from me, then you’d be screaming with pleasure.”

Ria’s body trembled. She did not notice that her pale blue eyes were tinged with crimson.

Just as McKenzie leaned in, about to penetrate her, Ria felt a change take over her body. Gingery fur instantly grew out all over her naked skin, and the nails on the tips of her fingers transformed into sharp claws. In an instant, she had transformed into a red wolf.

McKenzie’s eyes widened in disbelief. Was Ria not just sixteen? How was she able to transform?!

Caught unprepared by Ria’s sudden transformation, McKenzie fell over when the red wolf pounced on him. He saw the bloodthirsty look in the wolf’s eyes as it opened its mouth and chomped down on his nether region.

“AAGH!”

Blood came spraying out like a fountain, accompanied by a miserable cry of pain. McKenzie’s pride as a man was bitten off at the base, leaving him in irreconcilable pain. He howled unceasingly as he rolled around the ground.

The red she-wolf looked proud and fierce, uncaring of who she had just bitten. After snarling in warning at McKenzie, the wolf quickly fled the scene, jumping into the bushes and hiding in the forest nearby.

McKenzie’s friends, who had been hiding and recording them, finally ran over to his side after a long pause. Everything had happened so quickly that they had completely failed to react to the situation. It was far too late by the time they came to help McKenzie. None of them could have ever expected that a dirty mutt like her could have awakened her wolf at just sixteen.

The red wolf ran quickly toward Ria’s house. Ria’s voice appeared in her mind, still in disbelief at what had just happened. “Sherry?”

In Ria’s memories before her rebirth, it was not until her eighteenth birthday that she found her wolf, Sherry.

“It’s me, Ria. It was you who woke me. So, what on earth just happened?” Sherry asked.

“I have no idea why this happened, but it seems we’re back to the time of my sixteenth birthday.” Despite what she had just gone through, Ria was ecstatic. That was because from today on, she had someone to call a friend again. She was no longer alone.

“Really?” Even Sherry found it a bit hard to believe. “Maybe this is the Moon Goddess’s way of compensating us after what she put us through and all…”

“Perhaps. Regardless, I have to thank you. If you weren’t there, then I would’ve been done for.”

“Hmph. It serves that bastard right. If I remember correctly… he’s the son of the Thorn Pack’s Alpha, isn’t he? In that case, we’re in big trouble, Ria. So, what do you plan to do now?” Sherry asked.

“We’ll leave this place and change our identities, then continue living on as someone else. We’ll never have to meet those wolf kings again. What do you think?” Ria suggested after a moment of thought.

“That’s a good idea! So are you going back to pack your luggage now?”

“Of course not! We have to get out of the Thorn Pack’s territory as soon as possible, and we need to get far, far away from here. There’s nothing in that house worth caring about, anyway. Do you think Gino will let you off now that you’ve pretty much turned McKenzie into a eunuch? Still, well done, Sherry. That was a wonderful performance. You have no idea how good it felt!” It seemed like ages since Ria had felt this good.

The red she-wolf ran quickly through the thicket. To ensure Ria's safety, the wolf king had ordered the most powerful beta warrior in his pack to train Sherry so that she could be strong enough to protect her. Even though Sherry still had a ways to go before becoming as strong as a true warrior, she was still stronger than an ordinary wolf.

Meanwhile, at the Thorn Pack's safe house, everyone in the pack had been summoned, save for McKenzie, who was still lying in the hospital after his reattachment surgery.

An able-bodied middle-aged man over six feet tall howled in anger. “One million dollars! I'll put out a one-million-dollar bounty for that damn w***e! I swear I'm going to make her pay no matter what the cost!”

Poor McKenzie had no idea that, although the doctor had been able to successfully reattach his manhood, the video of him being bitten by the red wolf would still be leaked. That video would even make its way to the other packs, turning him into the laughingstock of all wolves.
