I ran my hands through my hair as I walked past the entrance of the chic Italian restaurant toward the private room we’d reserved. This night was about Pete and Clarissa, so I wasn't sure why I felt nervous. I handled the business with the ring, getting more assurances they wouldn't lose it. Everything was going to be fine.
