Chapter 32 MickyI twitched with excitement even as my shoulders tightened from hunching over my computer mildly blind from the presentation slides and videos I’d reviewed all day. I leaned over my desk with my back arched into a cat-like stretch. "Enough," I said to the walls of my empty office. I gathered my purse and laptop bag and headed for the elevator. Nick expected me at seven. He'd invited me to his place for dinner and to watch a movie. I brought my travel bag to work, complete with a change of clothing. Hopefully, I wasn't being presumptuous, but I figured I might end up staying the night. At the thought, I willed the tiny nerves eating at me into oblivion. I stepped into the elevator and exhaled.
