UNEXPECTED

1028 Words
I was so lost in my thoughts as I stared at the football field from the bench underneath the tree. The Vice President's personality... is so confusing. Why does everyone think that she's so heartless? Does she really need to put an act to prove that everyone is right? "Hey, Zero." I broke away from my thoughts when I heard Prince's voice. "What are you doing here?" I asked. "Just saw how deep your thoughts are and maybe you need someone to talk to," he put his bag underneath the tree and sat beside me. "Why are you here? I thought slaves are mandatory to report in the SCO Office every vacant." "They're out for some private matters." "Hmm. I see, they're so mysterious as ever." I looked at him confusedly. I can't say that I'm already friends with him but asking him won't hurt, right? "What's up with them? I mean, the Student Council Officers." "It's not surprising for a transferee like you to be curious about them but the answer to your question is... no one actually knows. They don't communicate with the other students and none of us actually know what their section is." "Seriously?" I was surprised. I never thought that they are this mysterious. "Yeah. Well, we never saw them attend classes." "Then why vote them to be the Student Council if none of you exactly know who they are." My confusion builds up when he chuckled for something funny that I said. "We don't vote here, dre. The Student Officers were passed down from generations to generations. Mainly, the founder and foundress of K.P.A are the Student Officer's ancestors," he seemed so relaxed saying those things. Isn't he bothered by the legacy here? What if the Officers are planning something? The power they have is no joke. "Hey, hey, I know what you're thinking. The Student Officers might not be so approachable but the entire student body trusts their decisions and they put K.P.A first in all of their plans. You don't need to worry too much, pal," he pat my shoulder. I looked at the students and the buildings of K.P.A, so civilized and peaceful. I'm curious to know everything about them especially Andreya. "What about the Vice President? Do you know something about her?" "She's f*****g heartless as hell. You know, like a robot. She doesn't care about what others would feel. I remember those three first-years last year, like some sort of noisy bitches. They were the only ones who are so loud that everyone would look at them and Vice President being her... she told them to follow just by her eyes. We all witnessed how they entered the library and after two minutes, they went out with grief written all over their faces. No one knows what happened or what the Vice President did to shut their mouths." . I was staring intently at the limousine after dropping us off. My mind is floating and bothered by the informations I got from Prince. "Zero, let's get inside. It's getting dark." I turned around after hearing her voice. So this is her? The Heartless Vice President that everyone is talking about? "Why are you like that?" I couldn't help myself not to ask. Vice President froze because of it. "Excuse me?" "Why are you so f*****g good to me and then act so cruel when someone else is around?!" I felt like my whole body was drowned in a freezing pool when she looked at me without a single emotion. I know her eyes doesn't have any emotion but still, I feel like she was surprised by my question. "Who are you again? Ah right, just my slave. You don't have any rights to question the way I treat you." Damn hell she's right. I'm so stupid to forget the fact that I'm her slave. I didn't spoke after that until we got inside. I want to know more about her. Who are you Andreya Whelm Nelson? She threw her bag on the sofa before heading to the kitchen directly to put her apron on, she'll be cooking dinner. I gulped when I realized how f*****g useless I am, I don't know any hell of a chore to do. I want to grab the spatula from her but I don't know how to cook, not even a single dish. "Get change for dinner," she said while busy chopping garlics. . I got change and I boredly stare myself at the full-length mirror. What a nice jackass you are, Zero. You don't have an high grade and you don't also know any household chore. What the hell should I do with my life then? I sighed and sat on my bed. I have to admit that I am embarssed of myself. All my life, this is the first time that I slept in a stranger's house. Does Vice President even get tired? She went out of the town for a school research, she also attended meetings and after going home, she still needs to cook and do a lot of other things inside the house. How does she even rest? Wait, where is her room anyway? I stood up when the question bothered me. I quickly went out and saw a lot of doors with the same design that I couldn't point out where her effing room is. I took a peek at her from the stairs and when I saw that she's busy cooking dinner, I started to open the other doors and unfortunately, all of it was locked. "What the hell is inside that it needs to be locked?" My forehead creased as I forced to open the last door. I was surprised that it was the only one that isn't locked. I slowly pushed it and I got puzzled when there wasn't a single thing inside except another stair. There's a f*****g third floor?! I was careful and quiet as I started to step my feet on the stair to see what's up there. I jumped out of fright when I heard a loud bang coming from the door. "What are you doing here, Mr. Cortez?!"
