My alarm blares and my eyes fly open to meet the daylight already spilling through my white curtains. I groan out a painful sigh. God, why is it morning already? I sit up lazily and stretch my arms over my head. I can hear my joints cracking loud, a little louder than normal. I crash back into my mattress again, my body feeling really heavy. I crashed like a dying lion since seven last night, and now it’s already nine in the morning. I really needed that sleep. My body needed to just shut down, because things are about to get really, really busy for this whole week. I heave a deep sigh and sit up properly. For the first time in literally days, I feel a little bit of ease. This is the start. It’s just a matter of time and this painful phase will go away. I stand and pick my phone
