“You need to answer these questions correctly, Mr. Adam,” Miller says, sitting across from me.
“A restraining order is a serious matter. Without a good explanation for why you contacted Ms. Bennett, you're looking at a direct path to jail.”
A cold silence fills the air, I don't have a f*****g word for him.
“I understand you're an important person of high status, and that's why this interrogation is happening in the first place.”
“The court issued an order of direct jail time if you dared approach her, that's why you have to speak up.”
He keeps asking questions but my mind ain't here. It's somewhere else.
Is she with him right now? Did she finally accept Hunter? Is she happy?
