A hand drags the cloth out of my mouth and a huge gasp escapes my lungs.
Everywhere is still a blur. My head’s spinning.
My eyes are blinking weakly, trying to take in what I'm seeing. My body feels so heavy.
My arms feel too stiff to move and they're joined together, a throbbing pain coming from my wrists.
As my vision slowly comes back into focus, that's when a huge figure gets revealed to me.
I quickly push myself up from the ground, my chest stinging hard with a mix of terror and what feels like a little bit of hope that it's Adam.
“Adam, what's going on? What are you doing?”
My gaze towards him softens, searching for the man I know. The man I fell in love with.
"How did you become like this, Adam?" I ask him, my voice faint and almost inaudible.
