Really, Kyler should have seen it coming. Anyone with basic common sense would dictate that following a dance with Olivia, one that certainly opened Kyler’s eyes to a world of possibility, that James Heczah would want to speak with Kyler. And by speak with Kyler, he, naturally, pushed up against a wall in an abandoned corridor and threatened Kyler’s life, should he continue to “target” his sister.
This was an interesting experience for Kyler. Like James, Kyler had a sister that he would be willing to lay down his life for. But he would never push another gentleman against a wall and threaten his life for simply dancing with Emberly. Moreover, Emberly would do that herself if there was a problem.
Of course, it did not help matters that this was the only thing on Kyler’s mind while James
