Vanessa was supposed to give me a ride home today after school, but she had someone managed to get herself in detention. I texted Ethan asking if he could give me a ride home, but he never replied so I decided to just wait the hour and ride home with Vanessa.
It wouldn't be a complete waste of time since I decided to go to the library to get started on a paper that I had due in a few weeks. I was walking down the row of books, looking for the one we had been reading in English. I finally came across it and pulled it off the shelf when I heard some whispering coming from the other side. At first, I was just going to ignore it but then I recognized the voices.
