Gabe and Alex picked up Vanessa and I at her house Saturday night. Vanessa was more excited than I was about this party. We heard the car honk from outside so we both ran out. Alex jumped out of the passenger to seat to open the door for me and then slid in behind me.  As we were driving to Krista's house,  I was growing antsy by the minute. I knew we were close, and I had the urge to tell Gabe to turn around and just drop me off at home.  Vanessa noticed my unease as she kept glancing back at me from her seat. “It’s okay,” she mouthed to me.
