Alex and I were walking hand in hand down the hallway at school. I felt like a zombie, dragging my feet with each step I took. I didn’t get a wink of sleep last night, I just kept tossing and turning all night long. To say that my mom was disappointed was an understatement. She was hurt and angry, but I couldn’t blame her.
