To say I was nervous, was an understatement. My mom insisted that I looked fine, but I didn’t want fine, I wanted perfect. I had to be perfect. Not only was I meeting Alex’s parents again but also his parents’ co-workers and some of his extended family would be there as well. When I finally settled on an outfit, I didn’t have much time to put on my makeup. I threw on a little bit of eyeliner, some mascara, lip gloss, and called it a day.
