She arrived to work on time and began organizing the notes she made on Saturday. She was sure Mr. Ryker would ask her all about it. She also added a few more clients to the list. They weren't a lot, but they were the most prestigious ones. She was sure that their withdrawal would cause a major dent in the company.
Mr. Ryker was already in his office, so she knocked and waited for his permission. When he said 'enter', she did. He didn't have his laptop in front of him, so she assumed he had been waiting for her. She cringed. She had taken some time to organize herself. But he never mentioned it. He didn't scold her about keeping him waiting. He looked calm and not a bit concerned about the wait.
"Good morning, Mr. Ryker."
"Miss Cole," he inclined his head. "How bad is the damage?"
