In reality, she hadn't made it on time. Not in the slightest. She was late for over an hour. The meeting had taken longer than she expected, and her legs ached from having to run around the city, finding coffee for the negotiating businessmen. It was harder than she expected, but at least the contract was signed and Mr. Ryker informed her that they would review it on Monday. He had even congratulated her on her work, informing her that he would pay her double for the hours she spent assisting him. That cheered her up.
Alex was waiting for her, his eyes glued to the watch on his wrist. He was dressed in a baby blue button-down shirt and his thick, glossy dark brown hair was combed back. His olive skin had a healthy glow to it, or maybe it was just sweat clinging to his skin. The air was hot and the place was packed.
She took the only seat directly in front of him, pressing a kiss to his lips in greeting. He was scowling, a deep cleft forming between his thick brows. "Where were you? Your phone is off. I was sick with worry, Demetria."
"I know, baby." She said, her voice sticky sweet, honey dripping from her every word. She hoped it would calm him down. "I got caught up at work and my phone's flat and I'm really sorry."
He sighed heavily. "It's alright. You're here now. That's all that matters, I guess."
She beamed at him, her eyes sparkling. "Thank you for understanding."
They ordered and she went with the usual: pasta and spicy meatballs. Alex had the steak after she briefly assured him that it was the only thing in the menu he was actually fond of. It was simply the best option for him. Nothing else in the menu suited his tastes. They always went through the same process whenever they were at Cremer's. She stopped minding it; that was just how he was. He couldn't control it. And she was going to stick by him and support him whenever she could. She was crazy about him, after all.
They shared the chocolate malva pudding, since they were both filled to the brim and wouldn't be able to have anything else on their own and then left the restaurant after Alex insisted he would pay the bill alone.
They walked hand-in-hand around the city for a bit, enjoying the cool air against their clammy skins. Just relishing in each other's company. He kissed the top of her head. "I missed you. I missed this, you know?"
She smiled. "I missed you, too."
He stopped walking, so did she. He snaked an arm around her waist and pulled her close so her chest was firmly pressed against his stomach. He eyed her full mouth hungrily, lowered his head to kiss her. She welcomed it, allowing his mouth to dominate hers, his grip on her waist tightening.
His familiar scent completely clouded her senses; it was minty and musky and undoubtedly masculine. She pulled away, breathing hard and fast. This was the first time he had taken control. She liked it. She liked the feeling of him being in control.
His forehead touched hers. His breath mingled with hers. "That was great," she admitted, smiling giddily.
"Yeah? There's a lot more where that came from." His voice was hoarse, thick with desire.
She took his face in her hands. "Have you been seeing that psychiatrist?"
"Three times a week now, actually." he said, his eyes boring into hers. "I want to get better, Dem. I want to be a better man for you. You know I would do anything for you, don't you?"
She sunk her teeth into her bottom lip, nodded sheepishly. "Yes, baby. I do."
He kissed her again and then they walked all the way back to the small parking lot right across Cremer's. He unlocked his car and opened the passenger door for her. She slid inside, hugging her jacket closer to her body. A feeling of immense pleasure overtook her; this was exactly what she was in need of.
Alex had always been the perfect partner, the perfect distraction. He had a way of making all her troubles and worries disappear in a flash, it was astonishing. He settled into his seat, took a hold of her hand, his thumb lightly grazed her knuckles.
Their skin tones were a striking contrast. His skin was perfectly bronzed whereas hers wasn't. She was awfully pale, always had been. He lifted her hand up to his face and kissed the top of it. "Ready to go?"
Eagerly, she nodded. She was looking forward to what the rest of the night had in store for her. In fact, she was holding on the edge of her seat, her legs clamped shut in anticipation.
He turned to her, "How is the new boss treating you? You mentioned on Wednesday that you didn't like him much."
She rolled her eyes at the mention of it. "You have no idea. He's such a pain. Just this week we've had several disagreements. I'm trying to keep it on the low because I really need this job, but sometimes it's really hard to keep my trap shut."
"You can handle it," he said reassuringly, "you're the strongest person I know, Dem. There's nothing you can't handle. You'll get this over with soon, you'll see. Right after you get your degree."
She nodded, his words warming her insides. She rested her hand on his bicep. "Thank you for believing in me."
She was currently working towards her degree in business management, hence why she needed the job so much. She was a good few months away from getting her hands on it, so until then she had a lot of enduring to do. She briefly glanced at Alex, savoring the change. He was different tonight. Usually, whenever she was hopelessly late for any of their dates, he would bombard her with endless and pointless questions, his insecurity getting the best of him. But he was different tonight. He was more relaxed, more confident.
His mother's tragic death and his father's subsequent suicide damaged him beyond repair. It left him broken and with major attachment issues. He had never stayed in one place for too long as a kid. He went from one foster home to the next, any person he would be mildly attached to left him behind.
He was diagnosed with Dependent Personality Disorder when he was twenty-three, by then he was living on his own and had already established his independence, but his lack of initiative was concerning him. He couldn't take a single step forward without being told to, hence why he went looking for a psychiatrist in the first place.
He had always had issues acknowledging who he really was, but now it seemed things were different. Now she had something to rub in Brie's face. The mere thought of it caused shivers to dance down her spine.
They reached the small hotel and walked in, hand-in-hand. He briefly spoke to the receptionist and soon enough they and their key and were in the elevator. His hand rested on the base of her spine, dangerously close to her backside. They reached their room and before she knew it, he was slowly undressing her, his tongue in her mouth, his hardened member tickling the base of her stomach.
She fiddled with the buttons on his shirt, feeling his hard muscles beneath her palm. He unclasped her bra and tossed it aside, palming her breasts and thumbing her hardened n*****s. She moaned against his mouth, feeling her core thrum with need, her entire body shaking, begging for some form of release.
As if sensing her growing desperation, he moved her over to the bed. The soft mattress molded her body. By now she was completely naked, and so was he. She drank in the sight of him. His body was magnificent, hard and sculpted. He bent over so his eyes were leveled with hers. They were dark and hungry, the top of his engorged member moist. She yearned to touch it, but before she could he was already on top of her, his body pinning her down to the bed.
His mouth ravaged hers, and then he pulled away and his moist lips found her neck. His mouth then found her taut n*****s, and he sucked gently on them, the pressure on her core increasing dangerously. When his head was between her legs, his mouth devouring her tender flesh, she lost all control. Her moans echoed around the room loudly, she was certain any person walking by their room could hear her, but she couldn't care less. The feeling was new to her. She had never been through something like that with him before. She had always been the dominant one in their relationship. This was new. This was different.
When he was finally inside her, rocking against her slowly, something inside her burst. Tiny little stars invaded her vision, lighting up his handsome face. It was a wonderful sensation, a completely new experience. Whatever that psychiatrist was doing was working, she had never seen this Alex before. They were both close to their climaxes, breathing hard, sweat coating their skins, and in that moment, she let herself go in a way she never had before.
