I didn't know how to react when I read the note attached to the food tray. The size of the food tray was big, I had goosebumps just looking at it. It contained different dishes plus fruits, different kinds of snacks, drinks, and wine. Mere looking at it, I just knew that even if I received it I wouldn't be able to finish everything in the tray.
So I asked Claire to eat with me since there was no need to go out to get dinner anymore.
“Claire, do you've somewhere to be after you close for the day? I needed to be sure that I wasn't interfering with her plans.
“No, when I'm done here, it's home for me.”
“Would you like to join me for dinner?” I could see the shock on her face when I asked her to join me for dinner.
“Sure, why not.”
