Charming The Mafia Boss (Celestia Series Book 1)

CHAPTER 1

Isabella's POV

I've been finishing up my painting when I heard a knock from the door of the room I'm currently in, the library. You see, the library is the perfect place to go when you want to focus on your works. And I really want to finish my painting for it will be a gift for tomorrow's celebration.

Sigh. I know who exactly is knocking at the door. Fely, my personal maid. She has been my maid ever since I was born. She is human but have knowledge of our kind. She already proved her loyalty to my family even before I was born. Because of this, my parents decided to entrust me to her care. She's like my second mother already.

"My Princess, Your Majesty wants to see you. Your brother is finally home." She said with a smile. I grinned at her. She knew I was excited for this.

Ever since my brother has come of legal age, he's been training to take over the throne from the King, our father. Since he is the first born of the royal family, it is expected that he will be crowned as the next king when he reach the age of 25, which is the day after tomorrow! 

But prior to being a king, one must understand the way of life of every creature. So, my brother need to live with other creatures for almost a year for every creature. It has been a condition for being a king to know how a creature lives. Our ancestors believed that in order to rule a kingdom with diverse races harmoniously, the heir of the throne must have knowledge in their needs, weaknesses, habits, or anything that is significant in their everyday living. 

He's already done with the werewolves, the human, the vampires, and lastly, with the witches. Finally, he's back from all of those. Every time he's done in a race, he will be home and tell me the things he learned from his experience. My favorite was when he came back from the human world. I think it is fascinating on how they live. Although, the human world is not really included in the realms where he would rule. There are some trusted human beings that are already living with us here in Celestia. 

I quickly fixed myself and run to her, still at the door. 

"Really?!" I asked with excitement. Although, that's an obvious question. Fely is not the type of person to joke around.

"Yes, My Princess. He's there in the garden together with your parents." She answered. Her smile never leaving her face. 

I quickly dash my way out of the room I'm in and maneuvered myself to the garden. Every person I've met on the way were reminding me to slow down for I will hurt myself. I can also hear Fely with her worried voice calling me to slow down.

I can't help it! I'm so excited to see my brother. It's been a year since I last saw him. I miss him so much already. And, I want to hear his journeys and his travel experiences, all the witches he met. I have so many questions about them, and his observations is definitely better than any of the books in the library.
