By the time dawn starts peeking over the horizon, many of the guests have begun to get ready to leave. Annie and Jesse tried leaving a few hours before, but I promised that I would get them out of work the next day if they stayed with me. I didn't want to admit the fact that I didn't want to be alone, but I also wanted them to stay. Annie eagerly accepted since she was still chatting with the gentleman from earlier. Jesse and I linger by the food and drinks, even as others begin to file out.
"Oh no. I hope that I didn't stop you from enjoying your night," Jesse says in a panic as we begin to watch people filing out, some of them finally starting to take off their masks, much to the delight, and a bit of horror, to some of the other guests.
