"It's lovely here," I say as I look around the center of the maze, my eyes drawn to the rose bushes that line the maze hedges. "It is," he agrees with a wistful sounding sigh, walking over to the fountain and lightly touching the stone. "It's too bad that the Queen doesn't like it here, so she decided to have the fountain permanently dry." I bite my lip as I take a few steps after them, though I pause a few feet shy of his side. "How do you know that that's why she decided to keep it dry? Maybe it's, um, cracked somewhere, or something," I try to come up with an excuse that comes off as a little lame. He turns to to look at me over his shoulder, his shoulders sagging forward slightly. "I don't really want to get into how I know," he says after a minute, the volume of his voice dropping
