I woke up in a cold sweat. I had another nightmare about the night I almost lost my life.
It had been months now but it still haunted me. I would be haunted forever.
I had been captured by some rogues who wanted the territory while I was on patrol. I had been beaten within an inch of my life, chained up and injected with silver and wolfs-bane before I was rescued.
It was a miracle I was still alive. Had I not been a beta I don't think I would have survived.
I climbed out of bed knowing that there was no way I could get back to sleep.
