"He seems nice. So he has a second chance mate?" Maxine asked.
"Yeah and she's human. She seems great though," I told her.
"He's very lucky. Mates are rare but second chance mates are even rarer." I nodded in agreement.
I would love to have sat there talking and carefree learning about her until we both fell asleep. But of course that didn't happen. I heard the phone in my office ring and went to answer it.
