From the moment we got on that plane flying to Rome, I presumed Ace was taking me to see maybe a business partner or maybe he had a business operation that required his presence, and so he had no choice but to bring me along. But when we got to the hotel and I saw the dress lying on the bed and the look on his face, I knew this was more than just a casual business meeting.
What I never expected was standing in front of the restaurant I had fantasized about for years. I was beyond blown away, from the waiter who respectfully led us to our chairs to the waiter who took our orders to the waitress who served us while we sat next to the window that showed nothing but the perfect view I had anticipated.
“You can take pictures if you want.” His voice came in low, in the back
