My mind had been made up, once we got back home, I would go on one last date with Xavier and let him know my conclusion and that is to be with Ace and Miles and I’d go with two of Ace’s men just to be safe.
Getting home, Ace had to rush back to work, he mentioned something about a new crate being brought from the port and had to oversee it himself. Funny how I still don’t know what he does as the Mafia boss. I know he doesn’t traffic women for prostitution, I know he hates drugs but there are only a few things the Mafia is about. This leads me to money laundering and smuggling armed weapons.

“I miss you so much.” Miles muffled, hugging me tight like I’d evaporate if he let go which made me chuckle as I wrapped my arms around him.
