I couldn’t think. My world froze and I stormed into the room. I grabbed Xavier before he could get off Aubrey and threw him across the room.
I was infuriated, my heart was pumping blood faster than usual, making me lose my mind. I halted and turned to Aubrey, dropped her dress down with my hands on her cheeks, and exhaled, “Are you okay? Are you hurt?” I asked her calmly even though no part of me was calm at that moment.
Whimpering and shivering, she reached for my arms and nodded. Tears rolled down her eyes. Just then Michael walked into the room, he looked down at me and Aubrey.
