I was lying on the floor, in pain, my head hurt, my body hurt… My body hurts… Why does my body hurt? … I tried to lift myself off the floor but it was an impossible task.
I heard mumbles around, and gunshots in the background. My vision was blurry. I tried to lift myself again but I still couldn't.
Memories rushed back to me as my elbow hit the ground, sending real pain through my mind. Then it dawned on me that Ace had run towards me before the gunshot.
What pain was I feeling? Why can’t I move? Why am I stuck to the ground?
“Pear, stop squirming.” His voice came from below me, low, barely audible, filled with agony.
