Miles didn't speak to me during the ride home. His face was turned to the other side of the road, watching and making sure he completely ignored me.
As soon as we got home, he rushed to his room without greeting anyone, not even his father, Ace, who sat in the living room, waiting for him to return home because it was his first day in school since his mother died.
Ace turned to me confused, worry plastered all over his face.
Should I tell him what happened?
No, Ace will make those children pay for what they said to his son and that will not help Miles in any way, right now.
