“Sorry I’m late, I had something to take care of,” Mike muttered as he stepped out of his car, meeting me at the entrance of my car, with his left hand smoothly sliding into his pocket as his eyes settled on me.
Lunch had provided the necessary information and now it’s time to move into action. I halted and turned to Mike with a smirk, “Something or someone?”
His lips parted a little, awe plastered on his face before he shook his head and walked past me, entering the car because he knew lying to me was not going to get him anywhere.
“So, how is Sally?” I rasped, my voice sarcastic in the best way ever. I knew I was getting under his skin and I loved it. The next three hours would be hot and intense, the least I can do is joke around until the main event starts.
