Getting home, Aubrey was waiting for me, pacing around the living room even though she was with Miles, it was beyond obvious that she was worried about me.
I had given an update through James but I am sure it won’t do any better until she saw me in person.
“Dad!” Mile’s cheering voice filled the air as he ran towards me happily, he jumped into my arms, hugging me so tight. I hugged him while I sneaked a peek at Aubrey who had a warm smile spread on her face.
