“He proposed?” Julie yelled over the phone, excitement flowing out of her, almost like she was the one who engaged. But then again, that is Julie for you. I am always excited about the good things that happen in my life.
“Yes,” I said over the phone, while looking out the window with a broad smile on my face. I was expecting a lot of things to happen when Ace returns home but getting divorced and then getting engaged was not part of it at all.
I know, Typical Ace.
“Oh, my goodness, so you are about to officially become, Mrs. Ace, this is wild.” She giggled; I could hear her kicking her feet on the bed out of excitement. “See, I told you, Ace loves you.. all you needed to do was trust that love.”
