Theresa’s POV
Tanya and I have been hiding out with the remainder of our coven. We lost a few the other night when all hell broke loose, and I lost my ace card. I can’t help but groan. Those little hybrids have far too much help. Now, not only does Alexander have his fated mate, but the two people I absolutely did not want together, are together. Brooke wasn’t supposed to meet the young Alpha. My plan was to hold him in secret and kill him if necessary. He had a strong spell over him. It is not easy to get around. I scoff at the thought. The damn mate bond: it is so strong, yet so fragile at the same time. If one half were to die, the other half would surely go quickly behind them.
