The evening of the following day.
“If you feel like you can’t handle it, call me and I’ll take you home,” Ray’s message popped up on my phone screen.
Then came Bill’s. “Silver is our nemesis, but that doesn't mean there aren't drugs to temporarily nullify its effects. If you need it, I’ll find some and send it to you.”
I plugged my phone into the charger and headed out. Neville handed me a sandwich. “This is your portion. Eat it on the way to the assembly point.”
I took it and spoke to Frank, who was standing there checking the security cameras at the front door. “Neville and I are leaving.”
