Noah’s POV I hold Daisy to me as she cries, letting her get out everything she needs to, just being there until eventually, her sobs wither and die, replaced by the ragged breathing of someone so emotionally and physically spent that there is nothing more that they can do but sleep. Once I’m sure she’s passed out, I inch my arm from around her waist and sit up, sliding to the edge of the bed and climb to my feet. Tiptoeing around the bed, I look down at my woman, her hair falling out of her signature ponytail, cheeks blotchy and tear streaked, her lips parted as she breathes rhythmically.
