Daisy’s POV He rests his hand on the table, exuding power as he waits until I reluctantly walk toward him, pulling out my pad and pencil as I approach. ‘Good evening Mr Cargill, what can I get for you?’ I ask, forcing a smile to my lips. The developer’s cold eyes stare at me as he taps his fingers on the table in front of him. ‘Coffee, black, no sugar’ he finally replies, ‘and maybe a slice of that delicious looking gateaux that you have in the cabinet’ he adds. Nodding, I hurry away from him, glad to put the counter between us as I set about making his drink.
