The older deputy snapped a threat and grabbed a shovel from beside the fence, ready to smash through the wall. The Chairman rushed forward to stop him. "You can't, Officer. That's an old cellar. If you break that wall, the whole thing could collapse." The more he tried to stop him, the more suspicious the deputy became. He shoved the Chairman aside. "An old cellar? And you won't even let me break through one lousy wall?" Maggie squeezed forward with a big smile. "Officer, our Chairman's got sharp eyes. He's just worried the dirt might cave in and hit you." The deputy pushed her aside roughly and snapped, "The more all of you try to block me, the more guilty you look." With that, he raised the shovel high. Right then— The radio at the younger officer's waist crackled violently.
