My heart stopped at that. No way will I die without putting on a fight. I got up from the ground and glared at him"Listen here you murderer, I was lost in the woods. I don't even know how I got here I swear"
Geez the guy looks more intimidating up close. So huge, I felt tiny standing in front of him. I started blabbering out of habit. It's a tendency which happens when I'm scared. "You better let me pass or else I'll report all of you to the police. You know what happens when you're caught... " I was breathing hard by the time I finished
They were all quiet at first then they bursted out laughing.
"Oohh we're so scared" one of the guys said laughing.
The leader didn't say anything, he was only staring at me keenly. My palms were already so sweaty, I wonder what's going on through his mind. Damnit! What do I do? I need to find a way out of this"Okay, I'll give you money.. I've got plenty of it. Just give me your account details, I'll send it to you once I'm out. "
Their leader smirked, he walked past me and said"Bring her along"
"No way! I'm not going anywhere with you guys! I'll rather die!"
He paused"Really? I can kill you now.. " he muttered coldly
I bit my lips shaking my head. He nodded at the guys, I watched as they started advancing towards me.
Hell no, I'm not going anywhere with them. I saw a small wood not far from me, if I can get close to it, I might be able to fight my way out.
"Don't even think about it" Stone said before I could move an inch.
They were few feet away from me when someone shouted"s**t! Find him! He has escaped!" He must be talking about the one kneeling..
I saw they were distracted and decided to run too. Without giving it much thought, I turned the other way and started running as fast as my legs could carry me.
"Damnit! After her" one shouted but I heard the leader saying something I couldn't make out.
Whatever, my life is more important.

It was the wee hours of the morning and I was still running in the woods. I don't know if they're after me and I don't care.
Okay.. I care a little. Maybe they've given up on the chase. I hope so cause I'm damn tired, thirsty and hungry to the extent that I was crying.
How do I get out of here?
Suddenly, I saw a shadow pass by. I froze. "W.. who's there?" I strained my ears to listen but no sound was made.
Without warning, I was grabbed from behind.

The rays of sunshine glinted on my face making me groan. I used the quilt to cover my face and then continued sleeping.
Shortly after that, I heard pounding on my door. "Wake up Belle! The guys are back, they might have news about your sister"
I groaned again"She's not my sister"
"Belle!"
"Coming!" I threw the quilt to the side, got up and headed to the bathroom. After washing up, I dressed up before heading out.
"... Can't find her, our guess is that she might've gotten lost in the woods"
"Then go find her, we'll be leaving for New York soon"
"That's the problem Ma, whoever goes there doesn't come out alive. We believe she's dead already"
I blinked"What are they talking about mom?"
Mom's face was pale"What? How can you believe that? She's might be out there alone and terrified"
"We've lived here for a long time ma'am, I'm telling you the truth not just rumors. You might never see your daughter again" with that, they left.
Mom and I stood at that spot for a long time staring into space. I went to hug her tightly"It's okay Mom... May her soul rest in peace"
"Yeah, let's go pack our bags. This town is dangerous"

I screamed at the top of my lungs struggling to get away"No! Let me go!"
I was instantly suppressed, his hands covered my mouth"Keep quiet"
I bit his hand making him hiss"Ahh this b***h"
I kicked him away and started running. I didn't even take five step when he caught my hand.
Before I processed what was going on, I was flung into the air.
I landed roughly on the floor breathing hard. "Ouch"
When I opened my eyes, I saw a fist raised high"No.. no don't.." he punched me before I finished my statement. Then I blacked out.

I slowly regained consciousness, the first thing I registered was someone applying something on my face.
I flinched and blearily opened my eyes. The bright lights from the window made me wince, I closed my eyes then after a few seconds, I opened it— carefully this time.
"You're awake, come on.. I prepared something to eat"a cool voice said from the side.
I panicked and turned to see an elderly woman dishing out food. She finished and gave it to me"Eat"
I stared at the food then back at her"Who are you? And.. where am I?"
She didn't reply rather she continued clearing the table. "Hey, I'm talking to you. Do you know a way out of this woods? I want to go home, my family are looking for me"
She paused"Foolish human, what where you doing here in the first place?"
I blinked. Human? Does that mean..."You're one of them too?"
"I see you've met the Alpha, I'm afraid my family can't help you anymore. You need to leave before you put us in trouble"
"W.. what Alpha?" My eyes widened"You mean that guy? I ran away didn't I? He'll never see me again" I muttered hoping my words were true.
The lady gave me a sympathetic look"My dear, the Alpha isn't just anyone. When he marks something, he goes after it. You're human and he hates human. He didn't kill you then doesn't mean he won't in future"
